Holistic Treatments for relaxation, balance & wellbeing
I offer a number of treatments at Cherry Tree Holistic. However, it’s rare that I provide just one treatment in isolation – I often blend elements of reiki into your chosen treatment.
This is always discussed with you beforehand, so you receive the best combination of therapies based on what you need on the day. That might change from one session to the next, depending on how you’re feeling.

Reflexology
Reflexology is a non-invasive, complementary health therapy that uses points on the feet to promote wellness and deep relaxation. It’s based on the theory that the feet – as well as the hands, face, and ears – reflect all the systems of the body. By applying gentle pressure to these areas, we can stimulate parts of the body that are out of balance, helping it function as effectively as possible.
Benefits associated are:
- Relaxation
- Aids sleep
- Improves mood
- Promotes wellbeing
- Releases tension

Acupressure Facial Therapy
Acupressure facial therapy uses pressure points on the face, skull, neck, shoulders, and upper chest to promote deep relaxation and release tension. The skin, muscles, and fascia of the face are unique – working throughout the day to allow us to express ourselves both emotionally and intellectually – and can hold a significant amount of stress.
Carrying out massage and utilising acupressure points on the face offers an alternative to reflexology for those who prefer not to have their feet touched or have a condition meaning traditional reflexology may be unsuitable. It also provides a different way to relax and restore balance in the body.
Benefits associated are:
- Release of tension held in the facial muscles
- Release of the fascia and stimulation of collagen production
- A deeply calmed central nervous system
- Increase blood supply to the face aiding lymphatic drainage
- Stimulation of acupressure points and reflexes that can benefit the whole body

The Jenny Nordic Gua Sha Facial
Gua Sha is a technique often associated with traditional Chinese medicine and uses a smooth edged tool to gently scrape the skin to help improve circulation. In this treatment, I combine the use of a gua sha tool with acupressure techniques and products from Jenny’s range to relieve tension and encourage increased blood flow. Over time, this can leave skin looking and feeling less stressed and more youthful.
Benefits associated are:
- Boosts circulation – delivering more oxygen and nutrients to the skin while helping remove waste products
- Stimulates collagen and elastin – improving skin elasticity and helping reduce wrinkles and sagging
- Supports lymphatic flow – aiding detoxification, enhancing immune function, and reducing puffiness
- Relief of sinus congestion

Reiki
The Japanese word Reiki means ‘universal energy’. Reiki is a gentle form of energy healing that involves the use of hand movements to guide the flow of energy through the body. This practice aims to reduce stress, support healing, and promote a sense of overall wellbeing.
Becoming Reiki attuned was an experience that’s hard to put into words. To be honest, I trained before ever having a treatment myself! I’ll admit, I went into my first session as a sceptic – but I left feeling a profound shift within me. While I can’t promise the same experience for everyone, many people report a lasting sense of calm and wellbeing after their session.
Benefits associated are:
- Improved mood
- Improved emotional wellbeing
- Increased relaxation
- Reduced stress
- Better sleep and improved patterns for those struggling with insomnia

Indian head massage
Indian Head Massage has its origins in the ancient Ayurvedic healing system of India, practiced for over a thousand years. This beautiful treatment helps restore balance and flow in the body by gently working on the head, neck, and shoulders. A ritual carried out in the chair either with or without oil.
This nurturing practice not only eases physical tension but also helps quiet the mind, offering a moment of deep connection and calm.
Starting with the neck and shoulders, gentle massage is alternated with stimulation, mirroring the flow of your natural energy. Next, the scalp is massaged and stimulated using a variety of techniques helping to clear your mind. A beautiful facial massage continues the relaxation before finally moving to some energy work (a personal favourite).
Benefits associated are:
- Relief from headaches and migraines
- Reduced muscle tension and stiffness
- Improved mental clarity and focus
- Deep relaxation and stress relief
- Enhanced sleep quality
